At FDB we make it easier for you to apply for a loan. Here are some points to note while you are thinking of starting up a farm, shop or other ventures.
Before applying:
- Be a Fiji citizen or permanent resident
- If a foreign national you need to seek Fiji Islands Trade & Investment Bureau approval and meet the Reserve Bank of Fiji requirements
- Need to be of a legal age to apply for a loan
- The project needs to be viable and you should know the purpose of finance sought
- Need to know the project cost or funding required and verified
- Have a good credit history in order to be considered for a loan to start an agriculture or business venture.
- Possess the necessary skills, qualifications and experience for the intended project or business.
- Have the ability to meet the equity contribution towards the total cost of the project.
- Availability of the necessary asset backup to secure the loan sought.
When applying:
- Bring your proposal, feasibility report, farm report, cash flow projection and business plan.
- The required source documents when lodging (consent from landowners, business license, registration, quotations, bank statements, valuation reports etc)
- Proper identification details (ID cards, passport photos, references etc)
- Request for the forms to be filled (FDB application forms, personal statements, Data Bureau form etc)
- Visit the Bank when you are ready and sure or seek advice from our Bank officers.
